Construction Update

November 2025 – Start of Phase 2

The Revere High School project at the former Wonderland site has moved from Phase 1 site demolition work into the first components of Phase 2 construction work. In Fall of 2025, the Project bid initial scopes of work including sitework (awarded to W.L French), concrete (Riggs Contracting), structural steel (Norgate Metal), and foundation waterproofing (Beacon Waterproofing and Restoration) allowed site progress to move forward as construction documents are being completed (in January) and bidding of other required trades and sub-contractors started (December 2025 – February 2026).

Ground improvement activities continued with CMC installation inside the building footprint of Areas E and F.  Support of excavation (SOE) operations reached completion towards the end of February. The temporary dewatering system installation began following the SOE install to help maintain relatively dry working conditions for the upcoming concrete work. In March, bulk cut within the building footprint was substantially complete with over (1,400) truckloads of soil hauled off to various soil disposal facilities. Installation of new sewer structures and piping began at the west side of the site and that work will continue for the upcoming months. Consigli also continued the effort of hauling off stockpiled soil from the previous month. During the month of April, the foundation work for the entire building was also well under way.
